Rigid PCB Assembly
Rigid PCB Assembly

From quick-turn prototypes through volume production with schedule sharing delivery programs, Clover Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly operation is ready to handle all of your assembly needs. We utilize a common equipment platform for SPI, Placement, Reflow, and AOI ensuring that transition from prototype to production is seamless. Our state-of-the-art technology is fast, accurate and repeatable, with every PCB assembly is manufactured in compliance with IPC-610 Class II or III acceptability criteria.

Flexible Circuit Assembly
Flexible Circuit Assembly

Flexible circuit boards have grown in popularity to accommodate tight electronic packages and electrical connections where board thickness or flexibility is a factor. To meet this need, Clover offers flexible circuit board assembly services. Our Design for Manufacturing (DFM) support capabilities combined with our state-of-the-art equipment enable us to assemble flexible circuit boards to meet all environmental and performance specifications.

Supporting legacy product is a core competency for Clover. We have machine placement capabilities to support axial, radial, and dip packages. The idea is to auto-insert everything that we can, minimizing handling and building quality into the product that we supply. For those parts that do not lend themselves to automation, our experienced operators are  trained on the latest soldering techniques.

SURFACE-MOUNT Technologies
SURFACE-MOUNT Technologies

We offer surface-mount assembly with components of any size, from 01005 passive parts to large quad flat packs (QFPs) and ball grid arrays (BGAs). Our surface-mount assembly processes are tightly controlled and monitored from solder paste stenciling to pick and place, and through reflow.

Utilizing multiple surface-mount assembly lines, we can build a simple, single-sided board with just a few components or large double-sided boards with thousands of components.

    Inspection of PCB assembly
To ensure the delivery of high-quality and dependable PCB assemblies, it is essential to perform inspections at various stages of the manufacturing and assembly process in order to eliminate surface defects.

This involves assessing the design and manufacturing processes to determine their compliance with specified or general requirements, based on professional judgment.

Inspections for printed circuit boards can be customized to meet the specific requirements of each client.

Timely and professional inspections play a crucial role in identifying defects prior to electrical testing and gathering data for Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Given the widespread use of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) in PCB assembly, inspections become even more vital due to the increased stress that SMT solder joints must endure compared to those using Plated-Through-Hole (PTH) technology.

As SMT devices rely on the structural integrity of solder joints to remain securely attached to the board, conducting thorough inspections is paramount to ensuring the long-term electrical reliability of circuit boards.

Testing and analysis are crucial processes during PCB assembly. Multiple tests are required to ensure the proper functioning of the fabricated board.

It is a nightmare for any company to discover that a faulty board fails to power on.

To ensure the optimal performance of the final product, thorough testing is essential in electronic production.

This is why the industry employs various testing methods and processes to ensure the correct fabrication and desired functionality and capacity of PCBs.

The following are some of the testing methods commonly used during PCB assembly:

In-Circuit Testing             Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)         X-Ray Inspection
